I don't have a lot of theories when it comes to who wanted Charles dead, but what about Joy? And Cookie (his girlfriend when he filmed Brazzos who left him for Sazz - kinda convenient to mention her in the earlier seasons). Two women could carry a body. And what if Joy wanted to kill Charles but Cookie wanted to kill Sazz, but it was dark so one of them shot thinking they got the person they wanted (without saying it to the other). Cookie could be the voice on the ham radio.
