she's probably been reassured that she'll be safe from project 2025 so she's going to stay quiet. i wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't even vote.

That's why I like that NC voter registration is online so you can shame your friends/relatives who didn't vote because it lists when you voted (not who you voted for obviously, but it's surprising how many politicians don't even vote in their own elections).

I’ve voted in NC for almost every election including midterms since 2008. I lived in and was registered in Georgia for 10 months like 6 years ago but re-registered in NC the second I moved back. The online record only notes my last like 3 years of voting and it makes me so annoyed because I know people are looking me up and thinking I didn’t vote until recently!

I’m giving her way too much credit now I’m sure, but Taylor very much gives off the vibe of ‘I don’t agree but we can have different opinions and still be friends’.

How you go from calling out Martha Blackburn and endorsing Biden to hugging out magas…?

Absolutely, she wants to be loved by everyone and will look the other way if her friends have garbage views or behavior. Not that I think she has any real convictions outside of what directly impacts her.

I just found out that my two elderly neighbors are hardcore democrats (I hardly see them, so that's why) and my mom did though, and we were finishing up our walk and the woman comes running down the stairs from her porch and she's talking to us about all the volunteering she's doing and her husband comes out and he's talking about how he's going to work the polls and how excited he is and how he's a newbie at it. So he and my mom are working the polls at the same time, and the woman volunteers at the headquarters and is so excited that I want to help write cards or whatever so she wants to drive together and they were both so excited that it was just so cute.

Anyways, fuck you Taylor. Enjoy being a WAG or whatever.

An older man came up to my boyfriend and I at the grocery store and asked if we were registered to vote. We both said yes. He thanked up and told us to vote for someone with integrity before we walked away.

I wondered for a moment who he meant but I’m still choosing to believe the older white man meant the only candidate we do have with actual integrity because she’s getting my vote either way.

I think (and this is just an opinion I have from speaking to my grandparents, especially my grandmother and other older adults I know) there is a genuine fear/anxiety those in their 60s & 70s that younger generations care less about voting, don’t take it serious, don’t plan on voting in this election and what that will look like for the future to come. Especially if those in that age group are grandparents, etc, and watch the news 24/7, I think it’s been a huge worry on them lately.

When I went to get dinner the other night, there was an older gentleman with a vote Kamala Harris shirt on walked inside and then I walk outside and there's an older man shuffling around with his war medals or whatever they're called pinned to his shirt and wearing a maga hat. I don't understand it, he hates you. He has zero respect for you.
