Ali Truwit, who lost a leg last year in a shark attack, won a silver medal in the 2024 Paralympics in Paris.

Tom Cruise calls U.S. swimmer @alitruwit and invites her to his movie set in London next week. Ali just won silver at the Paralympics in Paris.

I'm sorry what?!! She lost a leg LAST year and won an Olympic medal THIS year?!!! I broke my leg and fell into a depressive episode for like 8 months and struggled with walking/pain for like a year.

My instinctive reaction was "GET A JOB, STAY AWAY FROM HER" because of all his weird wife-audition shit...but also like, he's known for being super nice to fans on sets and at premieres and stuff? So perhaps this was just that. I wish I could just regular old like him as an actor and a star, but you can't just ignore all of that. Cults ruin lives. :(
