Dreading We Live in Time getting a likely Oscar campaign--we've already done this shit with British weepies! Give Mike Leigh and Marianne Jean-Baptiste their flowers instead!

So happy for We Live in Time - love Miss Flo and Andrew, and was really hoping that John Crowley was leaning more Brooklyn than The Goldfinch this time around.

The Life of Chuck also got great reactions yesterday, which is awesome - great Stephen King adaptations are not as common as they should be, but Mike Flanagan already killed it with Doctor Sleep, so I shouldn't be surprised.

The reviews out of every festival have been pretty positive overall - really excited to see a ton of movies this fall!! The Brutalist, Anora, Nickel Boys, Emilia Perez, The Piano Lesson, Queer, Saturday Night... way mpre promising Oscar season than I was originally expecting post-strike. :D

Ditto! And I like that it's unexpected people delivering these powerful performances than the usual names we hear every festival/awards season.

I hope Marianne Jean-Baptiste can finally get the recognition she deserves. She was incredible in Secrets & Lies and probably my Oscar winner that year.
