Sick of this. Robert Pattinson did the Sept, 2015 cover interview of NME, where he called the women who were harassing Twigs "demons," and condemned racism. He doesn't have social media, but the interview was picked up and appeared everywhere. He also said when he tries to defend her, it just makes it worse because the abuse intensifies.

It did no good because those women are unhinged from reality and mostly fans of Kristen Stewart who are still leaving ugly comments on Suki Waterhouse's IG.

Also Twigs did a podcast last year where she said Cellphone isn't about him, fans jumped to the wrong conclusion, and that they have no beef.

It's nice that he publicly defended her when he's really intense about his privacy, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see that she is older than him. To be honest from what I know about him (Very little, I mostly just enjoy his music and leave the rest behind) I thought he'd go age appropriate but you never know..

Anyway recently I've been suggested a variety of pages dedicated to him because I've been listening to his music a lot and I'm always super creeped out by the fans who insist on calling him by his first name. Like girl, you don't know him??? I think he indicated recently that he found this uncomfortable as well.

fans calling artists by anything other than their stage name is so weird to me. i went into the ethel cain subreddit looking for merch info, and some many posts/posters were referring to her as hayden. i don't know the fandom like that, maybe she's cool with it, but i wouldn't even be able to bring myself to call her just ethel, i feel compelled to use the complete "ethel cain".

people are too quick to get overly familiar with people they don't even know, and it's fucking weird.

Or drag queens by their civilian names, imo it’s a way to breed false familiarity and make you seem “closer” to the person behind the persona, but that’s not your place unless someone has explicitly stated that’s what they prefer

These people are unhinged. It's a tough situation for the celeb because publicly denouncing fan comments can be a springboard for more harassment. I hope this woman locks her account because she'll be inundated with hate AND randoms fawning over her because she's become their self-insert.

No this is so true when a celeb responds people now see it as a way to get attention from them they really don’t care that it’s negative attention so while it can be refreshing to see someone respond sometimes its really not good.
