Season 33 of Dancing with the Stars will premiere on September 17 on ABC and Disney+ with episodes streaming on Hulu the next day. Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Derek Hough are all returning as judges. Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough are returning as hosts.
Meet the cast:
Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks will be dancing with three-time mirror ball champion Val Chmerkovskiy (his brother Maks appeared on The Traitors with Phaedra). She has also appeared on Marriage Boot Camp, Real Housewives of Dubai, Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip, and Married to Medicine. She is an attorney who served as a legal analyst for Fox News and NBC during Michael Jackson's 2005 trial.
Beverly Hills, 90210 actress Tori Spelling will be competing with Pasha Pashkov.
Actor Eric Roberts (aka brother of Julia Roberts and father of Emma Roberts) will be dancing with Britt Stewart. He received an Academy Award nomination for his role in the 1985 movie Runaway Train (he lost to Don Ameche for Cocoon). He was recently seen in The Righteous Gemstones. You may recognize him from his music video appearances like Mr. Brightside by The Killers and We Belong Together by Mariah Carey. His memoir is being released the day that DWTS premieres.
Convicted con artist Anna Delvey/Sorokin will be partnered with Ezra Sosa. Ezra is one of several So You Think You Can Dance contestants who has been cast on DWTS. He and his sister Stephania were the first sibling duo to reach the top 10 on SYTYCD. He first joined the DWTS troupe in 2021. He met JoJo Siwa when she was a contestant on the show during S30. At the time, he was not out. JoJo invited him to tour with her and helped him become comfortable with his sexuality. While on tour with her, he cried often because he was raised to believe that it wasn't okay for guys to wear makeup, glitter, or crop tops. He credits JoJo with helping him to accept his sexuality. When he was promoted to pro status for S33, he became the first queer Latino pro on DWTS.
Super Bowl champion Danny Amendola will be partnered with Witney Carson (who previously won the mirror ball trophy with current host Alfonso Ribeiro). He has played for the St. Louis Rams, the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins, the Detroit Lions, and the Houston Texans. After retiring from football, he was an assistant/returners coach for the Las Vegas Raiders. He is the first NFL player to be signed by Ford Models. Last year, he appeared Special Forces: World's Toughest Test, a quasi-military training reality show. With only five hours remaining, he quit the show.
NBA champion Dwight Howard will be dancing with Daniella Karagach (who previously won the mirror ball trophy with NBA player Iman Shumpert). He has played for the Orlando Magic, the Los Angeles Lakers, the Houston Rockets, the Atlanta Hawks, the Charlotte Hornets, the Washington Wizards, and the Philadelphia 76ers. He currently plays for the Taiwan Mustangs of The Asian Tournament. In October 2014, police investigated child abuse claims made by Basketball Wives cast member Royce Reed. Howard admitted to hitting their son Braylon with a belt. He said that he had been disciplined in the same manner while growing up and that he did not realize it was wrong to do so. In 2023, he competed on Special Forces: World's Toughest Test with his current DWTS castmate Danny Amendola.
Sports Illustrated swimsuit model Brooks Nader will be paired with Gleb Savchenko. She recently went public with her new boyfriend, Prince Constantine Alexios of Greece and Denmark (who is Prince William's godson), at Olivia Culpo's wedding.
Olympic rugby bronze medalist Ilona Maher will be competing with Alan Bersten (who previously won the mirror ball trophy with Bachelorette Hannah Brown).
The Bachelor's Joey Graziadei will be dancing with Jenna Johnson (who previously won the mirror ball trophy with Olympic figure skating medalist Adam Rippon).
Pretty Little Liars: Summer School star Chandler Kinney will be competing with Brandon Armstrong.
Actor Reginald VelJohnson will be partnered with Emma Slater (who previously won the mirror ball trophy with NFL star Rashad Jennings). He is best known for playing Carl Winslow on Family Matters (a spin-off of Perfect Strangers).
The most recent Bachelorette, Jenn Tran, will be dancing with Sasha Farber. She is the first Asian American lead in the show's 21 seasons. Prior to appearing on The Bachelor, she was a graduate student at Barry University in Miami in the physician assistant program. She is scheduled to graduate in 2024 with a Master of Science in Clinical Medical Science.
Olympic gymnastics bronze medalist Stephen Nedoroscik aka the Clark Kent pommel horse guy will be dancing with Rylee Arnold. Stephen has a degree in electrical engineering from Penn State and he loves chess, sudoku, and speed cubing. He has impaired depth perception and is highly sensitive to light due to being born with strabismus and coloboma. He is the first male gymnast to compete on DWTS.
