I liked what she said about people who complain and complain, but never get off their ass to vote, purposely don't vote during presidential elections "to make a point" and make that their whole personality, while they at the same time don't even know who's on the ballot during local elections.

Maybe if you would’ve asked me this last year or two years ago, I would’ve wished I had more Black people in general in my corner. It would’ve felt nice to be protected by some Black men in this instance, but the more I wasn’t getting it, the more and more I realized I wasn’t going to get it.

i'm not Black so i can't speak on what it must have felt like to be left behind by your community but there are so many women who think when push comes to shove, the men in their lives will back them up.
