When people say stuff like this, I either assume they are lying/grifting OR they had an extremely mild, non-aggressive pre-cancer type deal. Shit like this gets people killed. One of the worst parts of youtube for me is the people who decided to treat their cancer holistically and then, later as they are dying, realize they made a mistake. One went into a lot of detail about how people lie-so, the "cancer miracle stories" are basically either made up or misrepresented. It just sucks because people fall down this rabbit hole and then literally kill themselves for it.

Yea I saw a series of videos from a young woman once who ignored symptoms for a year until it was so advanced she needed emergency surgery, refused chemo even when they didnt get all the cancer bc she opted for vit c infusions (she also didnt seem like she understood what the doctors were telling her) then got a second opinion was given a couple of months and died. And she was shocked by that second opinion. It was so sad to watch but also infuriating.

Being recommended a mastectomy/chemo/radio combo suggests it was pretty advanced, or at-risk of being agressive. Maybe she has BRCA but caught it early?

Also the doctors could have been like "there's a bunch of treatment options, it may end up being mastectomy+chemo+radio, but we have some options before then". I'm always very sceptical of second-hand medical reporting

Edit: apparently she was HER2-positive and esotrogen-receptive (which is typically pretty aggressive), and she had previously had a lumpectomy. So basically she had a tumour removed, and the doctors recommended further treatment and then she noped out. Again though, she could have had adjuvant treatment with the lumpectomy and then declined continued treatment, rather than just having nothing. Whatever she did, this all feels pretty irresponsible to be throwing out there this way.

I've heard stories like this before, all those people are either dead or lying by omission. I've definitely seen people who go the cancer completely removed but didnt do follow up chemo claim they treated their cancer holistically while leaving out the surgery got it all aspect.

Does she go into detail about her “treatment”? If so, I’d love to see her debate a doctor about it. If not, why not?

She sort of talks about the treatment but not really. In the guardian article it is linked to a more indepth interview she did with an Australian Women's magazine.

Apparently she was talking with Olivia Newton John who was also going through breast cancer, and Olivia was very supportive about her holistic approach. Olivia didn't go the holistic way though, but unfortunately it was her third bout with cancer.

It seems like anyone with a genuine cure would be shouting it from the rooftops.

Olivia (RIP) is the one baffled me so much. I mean, her grandfather was Max Born, her uncle was a renowned pharmacologist - science ran in her blood. And she was still pushing these holistic methods and suffered so much in the end.
