For years "Brad Pitt is a piece of shit" is a sentiment I only heard on ONTD. I've been glad to go on reddit recently and the posts I've seen with Pitt or Cruise or even tangential "movie star" things will have a top comment about him and how it's crazy that he sucks so much/his kids hate him, and then someone replies asking what that's about, and when they get linked info about the plane incident people respond saying they never knew that about him and can't support someone like that. I'm sure this is not like... statistically significant, and who knows how many people will not forget about it, but I have been enjoying that the fact that his return to the spotlight has at least let some people know who he is.
You just nicely commented on my comment lol so I hope you know I don't want to defend people who would normalize them but - I feel like on ONTD that trying to normalize them is such a losing battle and if posters don't know that then they're fucking idiots. I see comments in posts about like "why does every post about a person who had a minor fuck up 15 years ago have to have it posted every time they are in the news" which imo the legitimacy of that argument depends on what they did and how much they've made up for it since (I have a terrible memory so I'm happy when they're like the guy from Vampire Diaries was a predator or w/e). But also most comments in a post like this will always be super negative. Like I don't want him to have more publicity, the best thing for terrible people is to be forgotten, but while he is getting it I'm happy to add to the cascade of negativity.

They love and support Angelina and make sure that any time there's a pro-Pitt pr story the comments are calling pitt a child abuser.

I will never forget Brad Pitt is a violent abuser. And that George AND Amal Clooney are among his powerful enablers.
Fuck them.
And I'd almost risk a ban to say exactly what I think about posters trying to normalize them and their abuse.
