Oh god, may he Rest In Peace. Committing a hit and run is absolutely evil. Even if it's an accident, it's making a deliberate choice to not help someone you've harmed and prolong their suffering. I wish the person who harmed him a lifetime of suffering.

i hate drunk drivers so much. i'm glad they caught him. i wonder what his sentence was. i can't find anything.

I also searched and came up short. Drunk driving definitely deserves to be punished, but it drives me nuts that there are not wide-scale solutions to reduce incidents of it.

RIP and it sounds like he was a good person who made the best out of everything. the details of the hit and run are horrific. you think you'd be safe with your car in a parked space, but reckless drivers just keep taking terrible risks and ruining innocent people's lives.

in parking lots here, i prefer to park further away even in inclement weather because people will drive through the rows as if they're on a highway.
