It's an interesting concept and he pulls it off well enough. Are there actors who could do a better job than him? Yes, but he was aware of what the movie is and hammed it up enough that his awareness of the camera isn't as distracting as it usually is.

You can claim such approach for virtually every crappy movie out there. If we don't think and just accept, what's the point lmao. The movie is disgusting and I will not accept it in any way, thank you very much. 😂

i watched this movie when it first came out without knowing what it was and thinking it was going to be more of an action comedy, so i found it really slow and it kinda just felt like a showy sizzle reel for Glen Powell.

but i rewatched it a few months later after feeling more glen-ergy post Twisters and actually having the proper expectations, i liked it more lol. i still find it a little self-indulgent but it's kinda sexy and fun, and I love the Notes app scene.

i also like the glen wrote it with richard linklater. we stan a multi-talented king.
