I did watch it, but honestly they need to re-do their TV model. I'd honestly rather just go back to new episodes of TV being on cable on weekly basis & then maybe just have completed shows like Friends or whatever on streaming or have them put the new season on streaming after it's all aired on TV.

And this is why I'm actually a little afraid of starting Kaos this weekend in case I like it...

Don't get attached to Netflix stuff, you guys, unless it's Stranger Things, it inevitably gets shafted.

Wondering if they already planned on canning it or if this is about Neil Gaiman.

Same. Either way, it's a win, but I am far more hopeful that it means he's finally too toxic to work with.

I saw a lot of activity for this show on Tumblr, but never got around to watching it. I think weekly episodes is a better way to grow an audience rather than just dumping it all in one go and then being like “wellll nobody watched it” when it wasn’t even given a fighting chance. Most shows before streaming took over were given a few seasons to find its footing and audience.

Genuine question that isn’t meant to be aggressive or sarcastic or whatever, how was it not given a fighting chance? It was pushed to my home feed (or whatever they call the rotation of shows at the top of your profile) and I’ve never watched Sandman (nor will I ever, but that’s besides the point). On one hand, I do hate that streaming has turned into a survival show where fans basically have to campaign for and advertise the shows they want streamers to keep making, like Netflix is some sort of indie band that needs a street team and not a leading entertainment franchise, but I don’t think four months (the majority of which overlapped with summer/summer vacation in the northern hemisphere) is an unfair amount of time to see if the audience is there. I was also way more aware of this show than I was any of the other ones people are mentioning in this post. Had I known Neil Gaiman was involved, I would have hit ignore, but I was still seeing it pop up for me as a recommendation when I was last watching Netflix a month ago or so.
