Waiting for Manny's reaction as well...
Qimir was so popular, maybe they can save his character

The response to Qimir/The Stranger was overwhelming positive so I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney has plans for him. However Manny made it pretty clear that he enjoys working with Amandla. Also he hasn’t made a formal statement but he did post a picture of The Stranger and Osha together with a heart emoji. I don’t think he would want to revive the character without her.

But I hope Disney reconsiders visiting their story. I really wanted to see a Sith power couple play out on screen.

It wasn’t a great show but it wasn’t that bad and it had a fuckton more feminine energy than any other Star Wars product, including Ahsoka. I liked where it ended, so at least it wasn’t a cliffhanger.

All these bigoted critics are the same people who rant about the EU/legends, prequels and Rogue One like they’re high art, when they’re bad to middling fare elevated by one or two great moments. I say that as a former Star Wars fan who would like to go back to enjoying the universe for what it is, a solid modern mythology that reflects the anxieties and hopes of the society we live in, rather than a tool for far right assholes, people who love to hate and people who have a weird sense of entitlement and ownership over characters which don’t belong to them.

Star wars’ fanbase can be so toxic, i remember when they bullied kelly marie tran to the point she deleted her social media…
I hope amanda will have nicer projects

It's so disturbing how a large share of Star Wars fans will gleefully bully and heavily criticize the POC actors, especially if they're women.
Like, they pretty much made the show DOA because they decided beforehand that it was "too woke," or whatever the fuck. My sister watched it and she actually really enjoyed the show, but she also wasn't surprised at all by the cancellation because the "twue" Star Wars fans are so damn loathsome and aggressively prejudiced.

i didn’t vibe with this show bc the writing and acting kind of left a lot to be desired for me but i think whether it was a good show or a bad show is so far beyond the point bc the people who are virulently hating on it and its cast don’t care about its quality or lack thereof. they’re foaming at the mouth so much only bc it dared to have a black female lead as well as supporting characters who were also of color and/or female (the horrrrorrrrr) and that is just fucking insane. truly beyond comprehension.

fuck disney for still being ran by a bunch of cowards who throw their actors of color to the racist piece of shit wolves every time.
