All I can say is thank god it was daddy Bolton that was married to Robyn, because if it was one of the students, I would have been less than amused.

From the start of this ~drama~ I believed the truth about whatever was probably somewhere in the middle about the initial conversation.

But damn, I've ALWAYS disliked Blake Lively (and Ryan Reynolds even more so, and looong before they were a thing), and wow stuff like this is not helping her cause.

"Blake worked harder on this film than anything I’ve seen her do my entire life." This, really? Fuck off.

God, that's annoying.

I mean that might be true. Maybe she’s just not a very hard worker, you know?

More people need to understand that working hard and working smart are not mutually inclusive. You can work real hard carrying river-water across town but what good is it if everyone has access to free, drinkable running tap water?

I get that people like to praise a strong work ethic, but in addition to working smart, people also need to remember that working hard doesn't necessarily mean that you're good at what you're doing. I could work really hard at basketball but I am never going to get any taller so the chances of me ever becoming a basketball player are still slim to none. It's great if you find something you love and you want to learn about it and improve your skillset. But it's also okay to admit that there are other people who are better at this and you let them do their jobs.

okay color me confused because i thought this whole ~scandal~ was dying down compared to last week - why would you want to start this back up and bring attention to all the foolery blake has done? lmao why didn't he just sit there and eat his food?

His wife (the superior Lively, Blake's sister who was in Teen Witch) has been fighting for Blake in instagram comments too, apparently.

Defending from what? Once this blows over, she’ll be back on the cover of US Vogue and making mediocre movies. Hollywood is very forgiving when you’re Caucasian.

the fact that even her friends/family can't say anything grounded/concrete in blake's defense, just vague mumblings about how we don't know the truth on what may or may not have happened, how we need to support women, etc. tells me that team blake has absolutely nothing on justin.

it also makes me think that deep down some of 'em might not agree with how blake behaved, but feel compelled to defend her out of loyalty. which is why we're getting this sort of tepid half-baked defense. if i felt like people were unfairly dragging a friend, i would be going for their throat lmfao.

right, some of the best tea you get is a friend being messy and trying to defend their friend in hollywood. cmon now.

this whole drama with bart chiming in made me think of the contrast with hilarie morgan's full-throated defense of sophia bush after the ashlyn harris mess. hilarie was full of shit, but you could tell that she 100% believed what she was saying lmfao.

once i felt like i needed to defend a friend on ontd after she had the DUMBEST take. i was a lot more measured/restrained with my response than i would have been with anyone else bc deep down i agreed with the people clowning her alsdfkjsalkjf

Bless you! I am the queen of dying on the dumbest hills. My friends used to go to bat for me in my dumbest fights but now that they've known me for long enough I just get private messages like "🤡".
