The fact that Spielberg fought for Katherine but wanted to recast Megan Hilty still makes me angry. Like... on what fucking planet? Katherine has a beautiful voice but there is truly no comparison with Queen Megan.

There were so many unbelievable aspects of Smash, but the Megan/Katherine thing was the most egregious. It still makes me laugh/cringe when I think of any of the scenes when Derek or the other characters started waxing poetic about Karen's magical presence and how she was more suited to the role than Ivy.
