How absolutely awful.

Reminds me of the day my aunt died after a long battle with cancer, and maybe twelve hours later, my dad (her brother) died completely unexpectedly.

Making those phone calls to that side of family-where they assumed you were calling with condolences for aunt-only to sucker punch them with news of my dad on top of it, was…not fun. My brother said he’ll never forget the sound of my other aunt (their sister) screaming.
