"It Ends With Us" star Blake Lively said in an interview that Ryan Reynolds wrote a key scene in the final cut of the film. The movie began production on May 5, 2023 - three days after the start of last summer's WGA strike.

Variety did some research on Ryan Reynolds' uncredited rewrites on 'It Ends With Us':
the WGA (Writers Guild of America) did not respond to a request for comment, but a sources close to Reynolds wants you to know the rewrites happened before the strike
We already knew that Justin Baldoni owns the right to the movie's sequel “It Starts With Us” and that no one knows what is going on with that now since he and Blake can't seem to stand to be in the same room anymore
Variety also tried to find out more on that weirdness but got nothing:
They got multiple sources about that relationship being done for good yet no one can "articulate any legitimate transgressions from either party."
