I was about to say she was lucky to have a protective parent but after reading what happened to her on socials, it's clear she did not get through it without some level of damage and that a parent wasn't nearly enough for her to escape the shittiness of people willing to predate on a child.

I don't think even legislation will be enough to do anything about that. Society is broken as fuck with regard to sexuality, misogyny and power dynamics and would need to be radically restructured from the ground up to completely protect children from it.

Attitudes _are_ shifting in the right direction, but frustratingly slowly.

yeah it sounds like her mother did everything she could to protect Jenna irl but unfortunately wasn't prepared for technology and social media to be used by predators as a direct line to her daughter because that wasn't a possibility they anticipated in the dawn of social media.

I just think non-consensual AI of any real person needs to be flat out illegal. I don't care whether it's to sell torch batteries or it's porn, nobody should be able to misrepresent a real person in that way.

With a whole heap of extra penalties on top if it's to depict sexual imagery, especially of minors.

Always appreciate seeing stories of good parenting, especially now when so many parents seem to believe there’s no middle ground between giving your kid limitless space and privacy or thinking there’s no space at all for discussion and kids should just blindly follow rules.

I probably sound like a grandma but i do worry about these new gens, especially when technology and danger seem even more easily accessible now.

I immediately thought of “unschooling”. Like there is no middle ground between having your kid in a traditional school and keeping them at home and letting them do whatever they want and “teaching” when they happen to ask you questions about something.

Thankfully that stupid trend has a natural endpoint when these kids don’t graduate high school, then people will see it for the bs it is. Unfortunately, a lot of kids are going to be sacrificed educationally so people can realize this.

I'm glad she had that top cover from her mom. And that she even went a step further to keep her "grounded" a little more in reality. It's always interesting to me how some people really want to become famous. Like, after seeing all the horrible shit fans do and what fame does to a human brain, I just don't think I could really handle it and not become insufferable or have a nervous breakdown lol.

Men are just feral beasts. They're loving AI stuff right now because of how easy it is to harm women and girls.
