Not a trilogy but All the President's Men and Spotlight. I love watching those two back to back, because I like movies about journalists that are not flashy. I could add The Post (it makes more sense pairing it with ATPM), but it's not Spielberg's best and I find it a bit formulaic and cutesy.

A good whistleblower trilogy would be Official Secrets, Citizenfour and The Report.
