The first season I got high and enjoyed the beauty of the sets and costumes and kept trying to guess who would end up as Sauron. True, I don't remember much of the plot and I'm not invested enough in Tolkien's world to care that it's not true to his writings, but I def am going to watch season 2. And maybe I'll watch season 1 again and retain more of what happened, lol.

I feel like that's the best way to go about it lol. I definitely remember some primo screensaver fodder set pieces from the first season more than any actual plotlines. I had a lot of fun snarking on the first season that it wormed its way into my heart, and I'm looking forward to this next season.

Though I cannot handle Sauron's new hair lol.

I started my rewatch of season 1 last night after I commented, and yeah, I'm not mad about it at all.

And re: the hair - WTF! What is going on in the Hollywood wig world?!
