i've said it before i'll say it again but it bugged me so much when being a cylon went from "being a robot in a fleshsuit" to basically just "being a human with a genetic mutation"

I hated that every female character died. Even the female characters that survived like Six and Boomer had been actually killed onscreen already.

Okay, are you ready for the most bummer of a theory ever? Goes like this: characters like Roslin, Starbuck, Boomer (who actually does die, it's Athena who lives), Tori, Cally, etc. etc. had to die, basically all of the female characters with any level of agency whose arcs weren't completely centered around male characters' arcs at the end, like say Athena or Caprica Six, in order for the ending to make sense. BECAUSE if they are supposed to be our prehistoric ancestors, our society wouldn't have evolved the sexist way it did had leaders like Roslin etc. had survived. I hate it (and I hated the ending) but it kind of makes for a compelling argument.

My least favourite thing about many crap elements of the finale is how they sent the tech into the sun so all the women are condemned to giving birth in the wilderness with no medicine.
