They never should've remade The Crow. I had no expectations but the trailer looks exceptionally bad.

It's been deleted, but a writer who originally did a draft of the new movie (no longer credited) went on Twitter and was being shady as hell bashing it without explicitly naming it. Basically, he said it's completely terrible. Plus the embargo isn't going to be lifted until after it's in theaters, so you know it's BAD.

This is beautiful to know. Nobody should defend this film. Take the paycheck and shut it. The work was done.

I watched all the Omen movies over the past couple days because I noticed they were all on Hulu. And holy shit, The First Omen was incredible. I don't normally get worked up by religious horror, but it gave me nightmares. I loved it!

My boyfriend and I are going to see Alien: Romulus next week and I'm excited. Also, I know I might be in the minority but I think The Crow remake looks good. I'll probably wait 'til it comes to streaming, though.

The only movie I've seen in the past few days was Alien: Romulus on Monday. It was fine! I like Cailee Spaeny, and David Jonsson was very good. Didn't like [Spoiler (click to open)]uncanny valley Ian Holm or the blatant fanservice that felt out of character, but the vibes were pretty creepy, which I like. Hard to top the original!!

Gonna go see Blink Twice on Saturday, and I'm looking forward to it! And while I wasn't initially interested, I'm debating on seeing Strange Darling, since they are pushing it pretty hard at some theaters near me. Whenever I see Kyle Gallner in something, I think of vehiclesshockme.

The Crow looks awful. And I like Jason Schwartzman, but Between the Temples looks like it's maybe gonna be insufferable? Will wait for more feedback on that.

I just saw that a local theater is doing a double feature of Jimmy Stewart westerns that I've never seen next month - Bend of the River and The Far Country - so I will seated for that! And then they are showing a different one - Broken Arrow - at the Academy Museum the next week.

Okay, so I see you also have this Kyle Gallner association. 🤝

i don't really know anything about between the temples, but i want to support it bc madeline weinstein is in the cast and she's been very vocally pro-palestine. (dunno about the other cast members, i just started following madeline after she called out amy schumer's genocidal post.)

also might wanna watch strange darling bc i've really liked willa fitzgerald ever since she played a psycho cheerleading coach hehe

maddie is the best! i went to high school with her and she is such a kind and intelligent person. it's crazy to think about how she's been so determinedly pro palestine, even as a still breaking through actor, and people so well established say absolutely nothing. she really puts the money where her mouth is and her activism is so inspiring.

aw that's nice to hear! she deserves to be more well known and have bigger roles than playing the beard in beach rats lol.

i had an unintentional dan stevens week. i saw cuckoo with high hopes but the monster was so underwhelming and there were a lot of things in it that just didn't make sense. i also watched vamps after it being served up to me on prime video. a vampire movie with krysten ritter? sign me up!! however, the endless recognizable faces and english accent dan stevens could not make up for the stale jokes and horrendous cgi.
