i worry it won't be as good as the first but i'll try to give the creators the benefit of the doubt that they wouldn't go forward with this if it wasn't worth going forward with!

my only complaint about the last season was that the villain became almost too cartoonishly villainous by the end. imo it was so much more interesting and compelling to watch the ways in which his cruelty came out in smaller, more subtle interactions and moments versus the really extreme, exaggerated ways that emerged towards the end of the series. still, that actor was so good at conveying cruelty and utter selfishness. i wonder how the new season will work without a character/villain like that tying it all together.

I've never felt so unsettled by a villain as I did in season 1 of this show! I'll def be seated for season 2-I love Sharon Horgan and I'm curious to see what they do next.
