I went in the 80s and 90s since it's not that far from Cherokee and Maggie Valley, where we vacationed a lot. My one regret is never seeing the Christmas season. Godmom wanted to go but dementia set in and she had to be put in care. Honestly, Biltmore is a wonder.

I remember for a while I'd get those Biltmore ads before my videos on youtube, had no idea it was related to the Vanderbilts!

There's one in Los Angeles, too, so I guess it's a chain (google confirms it at least was a chain in the 1920s LOL).

You know what was filmed at the Biltmore Los Angeles?

There's a Biltmore in Atlanta too.

It's now condos, office space, and has a ballroom where I'm pretty sure every school within city limits holds their prom.

I used to work there at one point!

There were many weddings there too back then!

My first apartment was in Asheville! It was really close to Biltmore. I miss that apartment so much 😭

And now it probably rents for 5x as much as it did when you were there LMAO - Asheville is now unaffordable.

I went to see the prices, since no apartment has the same layout, it's a bit different, but wow yeah. I think mine was 600-700 a month? It was a studio, but fairly big. The 1 bedrooms go from 1400 to 2005. Why can't things be affordable?
