honestly taste. it also made me cry and i'm not usually a movie crier

the farewell is one that made me weep (i also happened to watch it only a couple of months after my grandpa passed)

I remember loving it. I saw it at the theaters at the time. But not crying. I need to rewatch. One of the few time travel movies I like. Usually hate them.

I had watched that movie when it came out, and been a bit ambivalent about it. But I rewatched it recently on a plane, and it really made me cry. I'm clearly going soft in my old age. LOL But I do think it's a movie I appreciated more as a person a decade older.

i don't remember much about this movie other than feeling like there was some weirdness around consent that i didn't like (IE him starting dates over and over with rachel with info he learned from the previous turn) and that the beach scene with his dad was incredibly moving

I do like the movie but I had the same thoughts on the consent issue. He basically manipulates her into thinking they’re compatible and cock blocks a guy that she organically connected with. And she never finds out what he’s done.

it doesn't happen on rewatches, but the first time I watched Spirited Away I had tears streaming down my face when the ending theme started playing lmfao

something about that film just. idk. it moved tf out of me
