Vogue gives the people of the internet what they want, a wholesome story about the adoption of Governor Tim Walz's very good boy, Scout.
In 2017 Tim Walz promised his son, Gus, that if he won the election for Minnesota governor they could get a dog (Gus had previously created a PowerPoint presentation on why they should get a cat, which they did).
Scout and his litter were rescued from a ravine in Oklahoma, right before a rainstorm. The puppies were brought to a rescue center in Minnesota, and soon the Walz family adopted him.
Scout, a Gemini, enjoys frisbee, Pup Cups from Dairy Queen, and both opening and locking doors (he locked himself in a bedroom once and had to be rescued via a ladder to the window). He also has a cat sister, Honey, who he sometimes steals food from.
