I enjoyed Thelma. Felt a bit un-american with the lack of blatant sentimentality.

Elliot Page working with Peter Outerbridge again and Wendy Crewson? DREAM CAST. When I was a teenager, I had the biggest crush on Wendy Crewson and it turns out that my teenage gaydar was on fucking point, because she came out as a lesbian in the 2000s. Even as a baby gay, I could sense it.

I went to see Trap on Tuesday and I loved it. A lot of fun. Hayley Mills!!! She's one of my absolute faves of all time - my brothers and I watched the original Parent Trap over and over as kids, to the point we used to act out whole scenes. I also thought it was funny that the code that all the employees got in the movie was Hamilton, which is where it was filmed.

Not really hype for anything this week. I was sort of interested in Alien: Romulus, but the reviews are pretty mixed, and my husband is not enthused. I loved Alien, didn't really like Aliens, and haven't seen any of the other ones, so I might just be good where I'm at.

The only new movie we got to this week was Sing Sing. I thought it was very good, if not amazing, but I do think it contains one of Colman Domingo's best performances. Guessing he will be a strong contender for acting awards! I cried a bunch.

Debating on going to see Powell and Pressburger's Gone to Earth tonight. The still that the Academy Museum posted from the movie was this one

I just finished Jackpot; I needed something dumb to watch. It was fun but just ok. Becky Ann Baker, Holmes and Leslie David Baker were fun to see.

Skincare looks fun. I am so here for Glen Close and, like I hope she's fun in this movie. Mountains will make me cry for sure.
