The Southern California animal shelter system is in a crisis. Devore, Apple Valley, Lancaster, Downey, Carson, etc are euthanizing a massive amount of highly adoptable dogs and cats (including entire litters still nursing) every single day due to overcrowding. Most of these animals have rescues who would back them, but they cannot be pulled due to lack of fosters and transport. If you live in the area or are frequently on the road, PLEASE consider registering as a foster or connecting with a rescue to just provide a ride. There are also many out of state rescues who can tag and arrange national transport if they have someone nearby just to pull the animal and foster for a few days/take to a boarding facility. It will cost you nothing.

Situation is as bad if not worse in Texas and Oklahoma.
Please stop buying animals. Please stop breeding your animals. Please spay and neuter.
