One sweet thing I remember about this horrifying movie was the dad being upset and staying strong while taking a photo of her wall art every single day before painting over it so they could keep up the illusion of the day she expects it to be

I think I like this scrapped ending more, I can just imagine the horror of waking up kidnapped on a sailboat somewhere with no recollection of how you got there.

Can't forget to mention how feral I am over Sean Astin in this movie.

Honestly yes that always felt so problematic. The absolute horror of waking up pregnant. As a mother. Aged beyond what you remember. Like what a terrifying existence to live every single day.

that's a horror story about a man's NEED to 'tame' a 'wild woman' and reproduce no matter what su_metal August 13 2024, 12:22:36 UTC
imagine waking up one day with a strange man next to you
imagine waking up one day pregnant
imagine waking up one day in the hospital with contraptions
imagine waking up one day with a newborn next to you

and the last thing you remember was having a car accident when you were like 19 or something.

Her life would be a horror story either way. Waking up old in a mental hospital isn't any better

Mte. She was doing fine living in her own home (if safer environment that feels rather familiar to her especially on the day prior to the accident) with her dad and brother, and had friends that genuinely cared for her. Either way, it’s kinda dark if anyone around her passes on and nobody have her under care unless it’s in the written will ensuring her overall safety and well-being or something. You know what I mean?

THAT ENDING IS SO MUCH BETTER THAN PREGNANT BODY HORROR SURPRISE are you kidding me

I mean I now know how bad her instincts are when it comes to projects. Remember when she scabbed and then the strike ended like a day and a half later.

The late night guys bonded together and said that they'll stand together and not scab no matter what, but they didn't include any woman or any daytime people.

Hence Drew was the one alone and not making a great decision, probably threatened with cancelation.

That's what iirc Molly McPherson said, and that's what makes the most sense to me

I wonder how the film creator felt/feels about the switchup. Is there any resentment? Would it be as beloved to this day if it had remained untouched? Drew & Adam movies were essentially what Meg Ryan & Tom Hanks movies were in the 90s. Would this have been their sleepless in seattle or would it have flopped?
