He’s such a dickhead, but it’s hard to not be delighted by it. He’s giving nothing but honesty, as he sees it, and damn you if you don’t care for it. And he seems open

Yes, yes, yes and no. He's a bad husband, but good ex-husband.

Cameron is the only living director who could go to any studio, say he wants to make a film (not even explaining the film) and be given a blank check. He doesn't need any stars or an established franchise, he has proven that he can make billion dollar films out of thin air with utter no names.

No other director has this clout, this blank check. And no other director would be able to give this interview. He doesn't give a fuck because he doesn't need to give a fuck.

Every time I see his name, I think about the 'Future Man' episode based on him:
