I saw a preview of the trailer months ago and realized right away it was to do with abuse... didn't think much of it for awhile until my mother started gushing about wanting to go see it recently. I couldn't understand why she was so excited about a dark movie like that until today when she came to me and said that she'd watched the trailer, and she hadn't realized it was about an abusive relationship. I asked how she didn't realize that, and she said she'd only seen a short clip and thought it was a standard romantic movie. Now she's decided she doesn't want to see it. So I guess that's a good thing, but the title alone hints towards what it's about. Eh. *shrug*

Remember when Colleen Hoover was going to launch a coloring book themed after her book about a woman in an abusive relationship? And everyone was like wtf, and she was like 😭 oopsie, sorry? Now look at this: pic.twitter.com/MvCgpP0Io2

Wow, cool, glad this is getting a movie. So important to perpetuate this story.
I read Verity. It was horrible. Just like... nonsenically so. The twist is so stupid because it in no way, shape or form could have happened. It was dumb as fuck.
