People who cheat suck. I was long distance with my ex, and rather than end things with me properly, he decided to start a whole new relationship and let me discover when he posted pictures with his new girlfriend. When I confronted him about it, he told me "he had been planning to tell me." 🙄

The causal cruelty of it really fucked me up, and it made a lot of my shittier opinions about my worth as a person feel real after that. It took me a solid six months to get over what he did to me, and even though it's been a year, I still hold a lot of anger toward him. Now, I completely blame him for how he treated me, but I still hope his dick falls off.

Yup! I'm don't think she was aware of me. We were both long distance to him, and I don't really use social media, so there was nothing public linking us. I never bothered to ask him, and I've never spoken to her, but I do know things ended between them a month or two after I found out.

He claimed that it had only been going on for two weeks. I went snooping after I found out about her and think it was probably closer to two months.

this is hypocritical of me as a bisexual but when she started dating dominic i was like "nooooo just go back to women he doesn't deserve you"

also, maybe being empathetic towards his reasons helps her to move on, but i really don't think we need to be like "oh, people cheat because they're in pain". sure, maybe they are, but ultimately they cheat because they're selfish and inconsiderate of other people's feelings. it's very easy to say "i'm just not in a place to commit to somebody right now" and walk away instead of cheating.
