Suga of the K-pop band BTS issued a formal apology after being caught violating traffic rules when he rode an electric scooter while drunk in South Korea.

i mean they could all just get the business end of a DUI themselves if they're not that serious 🤷

i think people don't realize even just wandering around intoxicated on your own two feet is dangerous. if you're on a busy road there's cars, if you fall and hit your head you could be seriously injured or die. it's not just cars and motorcycles that are dangerous. even if it was a kickstand scooter, which it isn't, anything that makes you go faster than you could go on your feet, increases the amount of danger you are in and to your surroundings. combining that with alcohol is just a bad equation.

I know Koreaboo ain't shit, but they released an article which has a translation of Hybe's additional statement (it was released about four hours ago) where they try to explain why they called the scooter one thing while it was another thing. Sigh

Sometimes Koreaboo just reports what’s happening, but like the rests of the time it’s just bs. But I 100% believe they thought they could leave important info out and get away with it. Like if a DUI wasn’t bad enough, you’re gonna lie about it?

When Justin Timberlake got a DUI and everybody clowned on him I thought maybe we finally matured as a society or something, but seeing the stans defend this dude makes me realize that this is just a matter of whether people like somebody or not.

Driving any vehicle while drunk is so dangerous and irresponsible.
