But the crew member didn’t say that?

They said she might want to sit up straight and Kate used the term belly roll?

Some women and people are critical of their own body maybe they just were trying to help her and not be mean about it?

The older I get, the more I realize that no matter how hard you work on your body and looks, people will find something to criticize. I used to be really skinny, my family kept telling me I should eat more because I'm too skinny. Then when I gained a little weight, they were like "wow, you should lose some weight". When I went blonde, they were like "no, you're prettier as a brunette", then I changed my haircolor to pink, they were like "you're prettier blonde". They kept telling me I have a big forehead, I got bangs, then they said "no, your forehead isn't big", I let the bangs grow and now I don't have them and my mom is like "you look so ordinary now, with bangs you looked very beautiful". So now I'm just like fuck off

It’s so frustrating when nothing you do is ever right in some people’s eyes. I’m sorry people in your life are doing that to you.

It sucks, but I feel like it's a reality for most women, whether it's family or strangers on the internet, or tabloids etc...

Age and experience just helps to become numb to this

One of the best things I did was stop caring what people thought of me in a bathing suit. I love wearing two pieces and I don't care if my stomach isn't flat, I love feeling the sun on it.

This just shows the person doesn’t understand acting. They are assuming that every bit of Kate is not a choice where it’s the opposite. Everything is deliberate & intentional.
I get the body checking occurring as well but I also thought how different that comment would be coming from a man or woman. Man would probably say it in an objective male gazey tone and a woman would be well-intentioned friend at best or body-checking annoying mom at worst.
