If I’m a recording artist (or any artist, really) I would admire Britney’s work from a safe distance - no collabs, no sampling, no commentary . I’m glad that Britney backtracked, but the damage was done imo. Because even people who seemingly understood that Halsey hadn’t done anything wrong were still accusing her of being insensitive and exploiting Britney’s trauma.
