I enjoyed this season, despite it being too slow at times.
I also think this season had a lot going against it, one of which were the writers strike. They could film but they couldn't rewrite or change things up due to the Writers Guild rules. And so I'll wait until next season to decide whether or not the story is in the wrong hands or whatever.
Today is the last one? How?!?... It feels like very little has happened. I loved the first season, but this time I'm feeling disappointed (I know I have one more to watch but I doubt it will change my mind).
They have an amazing cast, great locations, costumes, cgi... but all comes to nothing if the writing isn't good. When will the lesson be learned?
Rhaenyra has been promised by Alicent that she has her go-ahead to take back King’s Landing and the Iron Throne in three days, once Aemond is far away in battle.
#HouseOfTheDragon showrunner Ryan Condal says they had Alicent and Rhaenyra reunite this season because 'everyone wanted to see that'

ryan listening to the rhaenicent casuals and pissing the rest of us off instead lmfao
What in the world?? Jfc my hopes for the finale are in shambles because as much as I love these two together, WHY are they listening to the fangirls and boys instead of doing what's best for the story??
The fandom has been losing it since the ep leaked on tiktok. I'm waiting to see the full thing (apparently the scenes that were leaked only amounted to half the runtime) but....yeah I'm not really sure what they're doing atp and frankly idk if they do either
all I know is I think they have my girl Alys wrapped up in that fuckass prophecy now and if/when they ruin her and her already perfectly interesting story in S3 I'm going to be so mad
