So many HP ships in the top 25…like let it go already. Destiel shippers clearly have.

I occasionally dip into HP fic but I have noticed that there is a huge amount of fanon-specific work. I am not particularly interested in new works (I mostly revisit old favourites) but I am also fascinated by how entire fan subcommunities have sprung up around people I've never even heard of (or barely remember). Maybe because it gives people more freedom to still work within the setting while setting aside everything else?
