College should not cost as much as it does and I find it fucking weird that just when college enrollment started to drop and people started questioning ROI, you started seeing employers requiring BA/BS and Masters degrees in minimum requirements again. No specific flavor! Just the piece of paper.

I really feel bad for these kids especially if they were required to enroll at $$$ tiny lib arts schools. Like fuck, let them do a state school if they want.

Ugh, that sucks. I've heard similar things. Two separate people are working on getting me interviews at their respective companies and neither job lines up with my experience and they know it but they both said similar to your husband. They basically said "you're not a dumbass and you have drive, that's all we need" lol

i saw a job posting for a receptionist position. they wanted a masters degree and you were getting $15 an hour, no benefits. I didn't know you needed a masters to answer phones.

I’ve seen so many clerical positions require BA/BS which is ridiculous, but a Masters? Tell me you don’t want to fill that position without telling me you don’t want to fill that position.

My friend wanted their nanny to have a BA/BS and I was like straight up, that’s weird and unnecessary. And a lot of people nanny during college, not the other way around.
