I was waiting for it, tbh.

It sounds like he has been doing this for decades.

Fucking monster.

EDIT: his stans had the accusations removed from his wiki page. I went and edited them back on at one point and they were removed AGAIN within hours. Soemone arguing that the only sourse was a TERF reporter (I mean, honestly fuck her too, but still) as if the podcast wasn't the women speaking IN THEIR OWN FUCKING WORDS. I listened to every second of it.

I sure as fuck hope theyll put it back now. But I imagine they'll continue caping for this white man

Looked at his wiki and it appears his fans scrubbed it again.

There is a war in the edits, Tortoise media isn't good enough for them. I hope more mainstream publications actually pick this up.

I get not wanting to take news from a terf, but the podcasts are the women speaking IN DEPTH about it and I hate that he has an army of people fucking doing this.

I used to be a fan too, but fuck him forever.

Except it's not really news from a terf. Paul did most of the reporting and I hate how so many people keep dismissing him because they keep hyperfocusing on Rachel's name. It's really unfair. He's Daphne's son and an award winning reporter in his own right. His work and ethics are solid. He even investigated Rachel's own brother lmao

I 1000000% believe these women.

I read that T. Kingfisher/Ursula Vernon defended him or similar. While completely admitting that I haven't looked myself, can someone confirm this? Sorry I suck.

I don’t follow her, but what I saw from other folks commenting on Bluesky at the time (when the story first broke) she took the “need more/better sources” approach or similar - I don’t think she ever actually defended him, and I believe the posts have since been deleted. It was all in a long thread responding to someone else and a bit difficult to follow tbh.

FWIW she did respond to the latest news with “Christ on a crutch.”

This honestly chills me. I loved his books growing up… I can’t engage in any of them or the related media again if the claims are credible. I hope he faces consequences for his actions.

This is terrible. I believe these women, and I'm disgusted, disappointed, and hurt as a fan of his. It's awful when your faves do monstrous things. :(

Absolutely disgusting.

I believe these women and it all seems to follow a pattern with him. I read the allegations from his former housekeeper/property manager and I wanted to puke.

I'm still shocked this is barely making waves. I see so many women defending him because this story wasn't broken by legacy media and I'm just...
