I know people are rolling their eyes at the various fundraisers (Karens for Kamala, White dudes for Kamala, this dance party etc). But I think that as long as people keep talking about Harris in a positive way, and continue to mock and laugh at the two weird couch fuckers, I’m okay with that.

Just because certain people aren’t my cup of tea doesn’t mean they’re not someone else’s FAVE. Darren still has a ton of fans & supporters. If he (and anyone else) can positively influence them to be anti-trump and pro-kamala? I AM ALL FOR IT.

The whole election in the US is such a scam like what could all this money possibly be used for. They could help XY for years with that money instead. When everyone was celebrating 200 million or something crazy being donated overnight (?), people were cheering and i was like ... nuts

The money goes to pay for advertising and in person events. I agree that the money could be better used, but it takes a lot money to buy ads because capitalism.

I desperately wish that there was a pool of public funds that candidates with enough support/signatures could use to build a website to describe their platform, and maybe travel to meet with voters. National and local networks and streamers could host debates as they pleased, and people could volunteer their time, but no ads, no flyers, no bots, no rallies.

It should be illegal to give money to any candidate for office, that's just a bribe. If public funds don't work it needs to be capped at $10 per person (with no corporate gifts) same as other state and federal employee gifting is.

We do have that! It's just that thanks to Citizens United it has become very ineffectual due to how much money is flooding the airwaves.
