The Deadpool aspects of it, comedy and 4th wall breaking, were brilliant. But the rest of it was just as bad as the last MCU movies have been. They need better writers at Marvel and power through this multiverse saga cause it's not working.

Ok, honest question, how is brilliant to do stuff like having Ryan Reynolds specifically reference his wife, Blake Lively, as he's playing the character of Deadpool? Or like calling Ant Man Paul Rudd? Like...what's the point? How is that even a character at the point? Isn't it just Ryan Reynolds making his regular annoying quips while dressed in a dumb suit?

(I have never watched a Deadpool movie and don't plan to, so maybe I'll just never "get it")

Because Deadpool’s shtick from the comics is breaking the 4th wall, that’s the character. I also don’t think they were saying the 4th wall breaking as a concept was brilliant but the jokes he broke the 4th wall with, were.

If that’s not for you, you got all other movies without it. 😁
