A prequel AND a sequel? Sounds utterly unnecessary

The original title sequence remains to be one of the best ever, I’m not surprised they replicated it

I mean, I thought Dexter was a decent show. Still, it went downhill so hard at the end that I have no clue who is out here demanding prequels and sequels and shit unless someone at Showtime is either a huge fucking fanboy/girl or else Michael C. Hall has blackmail material on some executive in charge of programming.

They should’ve played it more like Breaking Bad did, give it a set end date with his life going downhill/getting caught eventually instead of just repeating the same formula “villain of the season” arc they did each year since that gets repetitive. They tried to fix it with New Blood but I just felt it was rushed.
But I love Dexter so any excuse to see more is fine with me.
