When an American family is invited to spend the weekend at the idyllic country estate of a charming British family they befriended on vacation, what begins as a dream holiday soon warps into a snarled psychological nightmare.

The film is a remake of the 2022 Danish film.

I saw James trending on Twitter and my heart almost fell out of my body, but no, it was just this! The first trailer looked spoilery enough, so I'll skip this thx, but I will see anything for my boy 💙🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

IDK these days when someone trends on Twitter I just assume they're not dead and trending because someone posted something and then suddenly everyone just assumes they're dead for reasons? Then it trends because people then RT they're "relieved" accompanied by that Denzel Washington gif.

They played a trailer for this before MaXXXine and I hated it, I don’t like to watch trailers because I feel they always spoil movies.

At this point I usually leave in my AirPods and take off my glasses so I can't see the screen, lol. And it works! I went into Longlegs pretty cold and I think it worked better for me. Nothing was spoiled and I didn't have unfairly high expectations of the creepiness.

"remake of the danish film released in 2022"

you know i think the only reason parasite didn't get this treatment is because it won best picture at the oscars

this is so unneeded

I still refuse to see A Man Called Otto (the remake of A Man Called Ove, but they claim it was adapted from the book, not the movie, which was nominated for best foreign language film at the oscars a few years back).

also their remaking that alcohol movie that had mads mikkelson in it and it won best foreign film at the oscars and the director dedicated the win to his daughter who passed away like guys

just stop

it's disrespectful at this point to do that

I'm kind of glad the Toni Erdmann remake seems to have died.

Just read subtitles geez it's not that hard!

Whatever happened to the Parasite HBO or whatever show that would have Americans in it?

I already read the plot and spoiled it, but I might still see it.

this looks so bad to me lol. I've seen the original and really just do not see how this will work for an english-speaking remake. so much of the tension comes from the families having a language and cultural barrier

Love James, but I hate movies like this, so I might have to pass. The first trailer looked like it spoiled literally the entire movie anyway.
