This isn't his only film festival film this fall, either. He has the REAL awards bait one, too.

😳 Jeeez I had to Google-

I have contempt for anyone who excuses J.K. Rowling’s unconscionable opinions. It requires some serious mental gymnastics to insist on dehumanizing trans folks. May his nose actually fall off like Voldemort’s

I remember watching the 1997 tv miniseries one in HS.

"-Someone at the production company is obviously horny."

Yeah even the TV movie I remember had it's horny bits.

Yessss. I remember this movie. I need to find it on DVD. I rather enjoyed Hallmark's handle on fantasy tales. Though side-eying Arabian Nights. The script was okay but the lack of poc in that was O_o.

If I recall; there's a scene where Penelope is thinking of her husband while he's gone and touches herself while laying on the beach and the waves crash on her.

I always remember the Odyssey in High School and how my teachers liked to say that it can be assumed by the text that Odysseus graphically kills all the men in his house who were picking on his wife. It was when my interest in the text went to a 0 to a 100. I wonder if this is told in a spy like angle where it leans into the whole Count of Monte Cristo vibe where he pretends to be the old man around the house for a bit an then he is like, I'm gonna take you all out later and just goes annihilation.

I also enjoyed the Hallmark film. Watched that a couple times in High School, too. That thing had a stellar cast.

this is one of the few source materials when they shouldn't fuck it up because both Penelope and Odysseus were around the same age.
