I like the one where i think it's called the day of the animal where something in the air makes animals turn on people

sure it's a little hard to take leslie nealson seriously because he became known for comedy but i still love it

Also disaster by wow this whole thins is horrible and a disaster is Roar where melanie griffiths father had a reserve where he had a ton of lions tigers and an elephant and her and tippi hendrick have to survive

i could barely watch

it was all real

also airplane makes modern comedies look like they were made by friedberg and seltzer

good lord, the ugly-crying I did at The Impossible. It was really something.

I just rewatched Twister (obvs) and yeah, still pretty great, but poor Jami Gertz deserved better. The utter disgust and mockery with which the characters talk about her being a therapist is so incredibly '90s. Remember when "lol, take a Valium!!" was a punch line on every sitcom? Good times.

and I liked Contagion a lot, but what exactly were we saying with Jude Law's character?? It felt worryingly close to Aaron Sorkin's bitching about "the pajama people" or whatever.

I rewatched Twister too recently and I was like this poor lady deserved none of this. She's totally fine. She didn't do anything.

i love disaster movies so muuuuch. dante's peak, volcano, deep impact, armageddon, 2012, san andreas. nothing will ever top twister though, it was so cheesy but in a way that was very charming and its aged in a way that encapsulates 90s movies in a perfect way.

The Day After Tomorrow is objectively bad in so many ways, yet I LOVE IT. It's such a fun disaster movie.
