Andy Beshear just tore into JD Vance on Morning Joe, going after him for his remarks on abortion and keeping women in abusive marriages.

Also said “he ain’t from here,” criticizing him for painting the people of Kentucky as lazy.

I agree with your reasoning for Pete not to be the pick. I think he's been doing decently with DoT, something I wasn't entirely sure he'd do well with.

I was just saying this is yesterday's post but it would be very smart to put Beshear on the ticket. Here in Kentucky people love him and that's on both sides.

Yup. Beshear has done some serious work in this whackass state and I really think people will mobilize behind him. As soon as he entered into the political arena in KY I thought he was going far politically tbh.

He'd be the smartest choice, imo.

Shapiro is tempting because of PA being a critical swing state but he's a first term governor AND he's super super pro-Israel which could drag Kamala down.

Cooper is tempting because he could help deliver NC. BUT he's 67 years old and imo, the Kamala campaign should lean into youth to contrast with Trump's age. So a young VP would be smarter.

This sounds super silly but I feel like Cooper could fill in that likeable, old guy void some people took comfort in like Joe. At least he's not as old as Biden and his experience as Governor could help Kamala with executive decisions. He complements her well

And apparently they have been friends for a very long time, so it's very possible she could go with Cooper.

NC's democratic delegates last night endorsed Kamala... with Cooper as VP LMAO. He's got a lot of fangirls here, especially in the eastern part of the state.

I think it should be down to the people that won soundly in those deep red states like Beshear and Cooper.

Basically go for the whitest mfer that won in the south
