Directly hit by a tornado? No. Saw them in MO and KS. Think there was one in PA, too, but I don't think it was that close to us. Watched one start to form over our deck and the neighboring cul de sac in VA. Watched one form over midtown Manhattan- that one was probably the most terrifying because I had never thought about what to do in that situation ( ... )

I am addicted to tornado documentaries and highly suggest that you check them out on YouTube.

How’s the romance plot in this movie like is it like front and center or is it just gonna be like the bare minimum with tornadoes?

There is flirting and an implication that they will pursue a romance, but no actual romance.

He clearly is crushing on her but she's still going through things that happened at the beginning of the film but slowly opening up. It's implied at the end that it could happen.

I lived in NY during Sandy AND the blizzard of 1996, and L.A during the Ridgecrest earthquake a few years ago (it was bigger than the Northridge one). Oh, and the hurriquake too.

I've seen tornadoes both here and NY, but i know they're nothing like how they are in Tornado Alley.
