Tbh I never got the appeal of this show and it annoys me that it has gotten a revival and a spinoff when there’s much better shows that never made it past a season.

I liked (not loved) the first season, but it was downhill after that.

The idea of a serial killer killing other serial killers is really fun tbh and Dexter is a strangely likeable character too, very endearing. The ensemble was good and even the absolute white trash setting (Miami) gave the show a weird charm lol The first 4 seasons were solid entertainment and (unpopular opinion) I really enjoyed S5 as well.

We don't talk about the other two.

I am emotionally very much done with prequels and sequels and cinematic universes and the like.

Especially when they are about violent men. I can just go on the news to read about that. Good for the actors though, hope they are having a great time. Unless they are dicks, in which case I hope they are not having a great time in general.

Agreed. I much prefer SMG when she plays sad/vulnerable characters. I don’t enjoy her AS much in authoritative roles.
