[Spoiler (click to open)]It’s basically about a disfigured man trying to turn his life around by getting „pretty“ but gets jealous at another disfigured person (is that ok to say? I don’t know a proper other term in English) because after getting „pretty“ and running into this other person, he has to realize that his decease was never actually the problem, but his own attitude and insecurity towards it and if he had just enjoyed life as it was, his whole life could have been different. Towards the end it becomes a dark comedy. Basically he hates the other person for being a reflection of himself and what could have been, if he was more open towards „the world“.

I saw that movie at the Berlinale this year. Strange but good performance. Maybe the last act seemed a little rushed
