before the i watched the trailer i was like is it like the horror-comedy The Stuff

after watching the trailer:"Nope nothing like that"

also good for Dennis Quaid being in a legit film that's not schlock or christian

and yes i know he was recently in a disney animated film but that one bombed

So sort of like male reviewers of Poor Things who were calling it the most feminist movie of 2023 LMAO (or rather, when male reviewers love something that female reviewers hate, it just reminds me of men writing about all the ways Poor Things was feminist).

i liked poor things, but not for the reasons the menfolk wanted me to like it

but i can definitely see why others would hate it and respect that
